Weddings often come with expectations of grand events and large guest lists. But Kate and Hunter chose a different path, one that truly reflected who they are. Their wedding day was a beautiful blend of intimacy and personal touches, all set against the backdrop of two stunning gardens in one day. This story shows how couples can create a wedding that feels authentic and joyful without following the usual script.

Kate and Hunter initially planned a large wedding but quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit. Instead of sticking to tradition, they redesigned their day to match their personalities and desires. They wanted a smaller celebration with only close friends and family, making the day feel more meaningful and relaxed.

Starting off their First Look and formal photos at Prescott Park, a scenic spot known for its beautiful waterfront views. They wove their humor into each moment together, and I can't thank them enough for not taking the day too seriously!

This approach allowed them to enjoy every moment without feeling overwhelmed by a big crowd or a packed schedule.

The ceremony took place at Fuller Gardens, a charming spot known for its rose garden and serene atmosphere. The couple exchanged vows surrounded by close family and friends, creating an intimate and heartfelt experience. Officiating their ceremony, was Hunter's cousin, Mattie - who I photographed her wedding back in 2019.

After the ceremony, they took a quick walk to the nearby beach, adding a touch of adventure and spontaneity to the day.

Instead of a large reception, Kate and Hunter chose a local restaurant in Portsmouth for dinner. This choice made the celebration feel personal and warm. The small group shared delicious food and meaningful toasts, highlighting the love and support surrounding the couple.

Kate and Hunter’s wedding shows that a day doesn’t need to be large or extravagant to be memorable. Their focus on what mattered most to them created a celebration full of laughter, love, and beautiful moments.

Key takeaways from their wedding include:

  • Personalize your day to reflect your style and values.

  • Choose meaningful locations that add to the experience.

  • Keep the guest list small to foster intimacy.

  • Include moments that show your personality, like a beach walk or casual dinner.

  • Don’t be afraid to break tradition and create your own path.

Their story should encourage couples to think beyond expectations and design a wedding that feels right for them.
